The WestTrans Partnership is formed
of the six west London Boroughs of Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham,
Harrow, Hillingdon and Hounslow, and activities are co-ordinated
through the auspices of the West
London Alliance. WestTrans has
retained MVA Consultancy to provide support for their continuing
transport improvement programmes for 2010-2011, and this includes
the retention of the West London ‘Strategy
Champion’ and West London Station Access Coordinator. WestTrans
employs four Travel Plan Coordinators.
Freight related initiatives are undertaken through
the West London Freight
Quality Partnership (WLFQP), which operates
as a sub-group of WestTrans. WLFQP was launched in April 2003 and
is made up of the 6 West London boroughs, West London businesses
(including BAA and Exel) and other organizations (including the
Freight Transport Association and Road
Haulage Association). In
addition to the support provided by the West London boroughs, the
FQP has recruited members from major industries and business groups
in West London. It presently has around 80 member organizations
and business groups, not including the 3000+ businesses that the
Park Royal Partnership represents.
WestTrans employs two full-time Travel Plan Coordinators,
who work closely with local businesses, schools, TfL and other
organisations to develop Travel Plans and promote sustainable transport
in West London. The Travel Plan Coordinators played an instrumental
role in the development and roll-out of the iTRACE software, which
provides a standardised approach to how we record, monitor, report
and enforce Workplace and School Travel Plans.
A structure chart for the Partnership is shown below.
