Faith Sites Travel Network launched by WestTrans
WestTrans are working with local faith sites and community groups who want to make their site more sustainable and improve accessibility for visitors.
Faith sites and community groups are now eligible for WestTrans' new and innovative scheme which seeks to improve local air quality and accessibility across West London. The scheme is funded through a combination of the Mayor's Cleaner Air Programme and west London boroughs.
Participating sites will receive advice and information about how to make transport for visitors more sustainable and improve visitor accessibility options. We will also offer participants funding and support for on-site improvements like cycle stands, cycle training, servicing, bike maintenance and assistance to produce site specific "how to get to" maps and guides. For really proactive faith communities, there will be match-funding opportunities for innovative sustainable travel initiatives to encourage further engagement in active and sustainable travel.
If you think your faith site could benefit from this project then please download the flyer, read more at WestTrans Travel Plans webpage or contact WestTrans directly on 020 8825 9635 or WestTransTravelPlans@ealing.gov.uk.
