Harrow celebrates e-bikes
WestTrans has formally handed over four e-bikes to Harrow Council, after a highly successful year's trial.
The trial began in summer 2018, with staff able to borrow the e-bikes for travelling to work, errands or work journeys. Over 50 staff trialled the bikes, and found creative uses for them throughout the year, from social workers to the parking management team.
Harrow Council did not have a pool of staff bikes before the trial, and demand for the e-bikes has been consistently high. The decision was taken to retain four e-bikes as a permanent resource for staff.
WestTrans is very pleased with the success of the trial and its embedded legacy within the Council.
